Ice Cream….You Scream….We All Scream For Ice Cream…..


What child doesn’t like ice cream?


My boys could live on ice cream if I let them. I don’t think there is a flavor of ice cream or sherbet they don’t like.

The only problem is…..have you seen the prices of Natural Ice Cream (not the cheap stuff full of ingredients I can’t pronounce) these days? It’s getting ridiculous and unless it’s on a good sale this mama isn’t buying it.


Well, the other day I was walking around the grocery store I frequently visit. Sometimes they have special deals on household items other then food.


This was my lucky day. In the special deals aisle I noticed a DISNEY ICE CREAM MAKER. First I thought it was kids ice cream maker similar to Easy Bake Oven…….. The price was ONLY $12.98.


I stopped and started to read the box just to find out that it was in fact the real deal….. a real ice cream maker for under $13.00.


The cute red ice cream maker promised me to make a quart of delicious ice cream in 20-30 minutes if I take it home.So I did.


I figured with the ice cream prices soaring all time high I had nothing to lose. $13.00 for an ice cream maker was an awesome deal.


I brought the Disney ice cream maker home and you can just imagine the reaction of my ice cream starving children. They always wanted one, but I guess the price wasn’t right before and we weren’t living on a budget.


Anyway, after I unpacked the Disney Ice Cream maker I was pleasantly surprised.





The unit looks so cute with the red base and white Mickey feet and it is so easy to operate as well. It comes with a booklet full of ice cream recipes that are very easy to follow and give lots of variations.


All you need to do is to freeze the container (freezing canister) that makes the ice cream by putting it in the freezer for 8 hours or overnight (I just keep it in my freezer at all times).

Make the ice cream mix according to the booklet.

Put the frozen container onto the base. Put in the mixing paddle and cover. Turn it on, pour the ice cream mix inside the container. Put on the cover cap and watch it go.

In 20-30 minutes you will enjoy delicious homemade ice cream, sherbet or Italian ice.


To clean the Disney ice cream maker all you need to do is wash the plastic mixing paddle and the container. Job done!


I admit this time I am glad I gave in and went for the bargain. This little ice cream maker that could will save us lots of money in a long run…..Bonus…….I can pronounce all the ingredients that go into our Homemade Ice Cream.
