DIY Chocolate Arrangement

I love Valentine’s Day. It gives me more reasons to show love and spoil all the special people in my life.

Every Valentine’s day I try to make something different and creative for my loved ones especially the children. To show them how proud I am of them and how incredibly blessed I am to have them in my life.

Between my own boys and my nieces and nephews I have 7 children to spoil.

Usually on Valentine’s Day I make little goody bags with chocolate and other treats for all the kids.

I love yummy DIY projects so this year for Valentine’s Day I decided to make them personalized chocolate arrangements – edible bouquets.

Edible bouquets are great gifts for anyone on Valentine’s day. I personally prefer chocolate arrangement or edible bouquet to flowers.

I started my edible bouquet project by making 2 identical chocolate arrangements for my nieces ages 13 and 15. They had to be the same chocolate arrangements with the same amount of chocolates, same kind of chocolates and of course same little reusable baskets. Yes, they are sisters and they are teenagers.

DIY Chocolate Arrangement

The DIY chocolate arrangements turned out fantastic. They looked very pretty and tasty. The most important part is that I had lots of fun creating these chocolate edible arrangements for the girls and the girls felt very special.

For two DIY Chocolate Arrangements I used:

  • 2 Small Wicker Baskets (6″ x 5″ x3″)
  • 1 Floral Foam
  • Red Tissue Shred
  • Pink Tissue Shred
  • 2 Pink Pipe Cleaners
  • 2 Purple Pipe Cleaners
  • 2 Fancy Pens with Mirror
  • 2 Lollipop Bouquets from Wal-Mart
  • 12 Lindor Truffles
  • 20 Moritz Icy Squares
  • 6 Toblerone Individual Chocolates
  • Bamboo Skewers

Cut floral foam to fit tight inside the basket. Cover it with red and pink tissue shred.

Place Lollipop Bouquet in the middle at the back of the basket. Put the skewers through the individual chocolates just far enough to be stable. Arrange chocolates around the lollipops.

Wrap pipe cleaners around pencil. Remove it and stretch it out. Place one pipe cleaner on each side of lollipops.

Stick the pencil on the back.

Personalized DIY Chocolate Arrangement for your favorite Valentine is ready. Who wouldn’t want to receive one of these edible chocolate bouquets on Sunday?

I also glued little red paper hearts with girls names on the front of the baskets.

After I finished the girls chocolate arrangement I made different edible candy and chocolate arrangement for the rest of the children on my love list.
