DIY – Decorating Picture Frame

Last week I shared with you my DIY Picture Frame Art Project and I showed you ways how to make your own inexpensive picture frame art that fits your style and your budget.
I promised you that this week I will share with you another DIY project using old picture frame and turn it into pretty frame that you’ll be proud to display in your home or give away as present.
Decorating picture frame is very easy. All you need is some basic and cheap craft and scrap-booking supplies, inexpensive picture frame or even old picture frame you put away for your next yard sale.
For my DIY picture frame project I used an inexpensive picture frame I bought in a Dollar Store.
I decorated this picture frame for my older son and the complete project cost me less then $3.00.
Supplies I used to decorate picture frame:
- Glass picture frame
- Hot Glue Gun
- 2 Strips of Grainy Scrapbook paper in two shades of green
- 4 Red Buttons
- 2 White Button
- 4 Light Green Buttons
- 2 Dark Green Buttons

STEP 1: Cut out 4 stripes out of scrapbook paper. 2 longer and two shorter.
STEP 2: With a hot glue gun attach them on the front of the frame.
STEP 3: From the scrapbook paper cutout 4 small squares and glue one into each corner. Decorate with buttons.

I had lots of fun with this picture frame project…… I am sure you will too.
The best part is you can let your kids decorate picture frames with you and turn it into fun family CRAFT.
One more thing….I love COMMENTS like everyone else so go ahead and let me know how am I doing.I would love to hear from you.

Very nice craft idea. I have a couple of nieces that would really like making some of these. Thanks!
Stopping by from SITS. Have an awesome day!
How is it that all the great crafters have all of this wonderful scrap book paper laying around all the time? If I was going to make anything using it, I’d have to go out and buy a whole lot of it just so I could cut it down to size…
I will most definitely be tweeting about your post =)
I’ll probably have my children do a few of these for Mother’s day as a present for Grandma of course with my supervision hot glue and kids not the best of combos
Much Luv,
Karen
