Mr. Monk Goes To Germany – Review

There are things I really miss since I became a mom….simple things….things like picking up a book and reading it….reading it without million interruptions….reading it to the end.

Yes, I miss the little thing I used to take for granted before I had my boys…like time to read a book.

I love reading and the only time I get to read these days is during our camping trips.

Mr. Monk Goes To Germany - Review

On my last visit to the library right before our two week camping trip I was browsing the Mystery section for something new to read. I noticed a paperback novel by Lee Goldberg called MONK and on the cover was that same smiley face that I enjoy so much in one of my favorite TV Series.

Yes, you guessed it. It was the lovable Obsessive Compulsive Detective named Adrian Monk. I was sold.

Let me just say…..I love….love….love…..Adrian Monk……..I couldn’t wait to leave for a camping trip and I started reading Mr. Monk Goes To Germany when I got home.

Mr. Monk Goes To Germany is funny, easy to read mystery with an unexpected twist.

Adrian Monk is busy solving murders with his brilliant investigator skills when he finds out that his therapist Dr. Kroger is leaving for a conference in Germany.

Adrian can’t concentrate on anything and is totally lost without him. With the help from his assistant Natalie he follows his therapist to Germany and gets into some real weird and funny situations.

Things get more twisted as Monk spots a six fingered man in a town square. A man he thinks was involved in Adrian’s wife Trudy’s death…

Mr.Monk Goes To Germany is a perfect reading for someone who’s looking for light-hearted and funny classic mystery. I actually enjoyed it even more then watching it on TV.

After I read this book I visited The Official Lee Goldberg site and found out that there are 11 other Monk mysteries in this series:

#1 Mr. Monk Goes To The Firehouse

#2 Mr. Monk Goes To Hawaii

#3 Mr. Monk and The Blue Flu

#4 Mr. Monk and the Two Assistants

#5 Mr. Monk Goes In Outer Space

#6 Mr. Monk Goes to Germany

#7 Mr. Monk Is Miserable

#8 Mr. Monk and The Dirty Cop

#9 Mr. Monk In Trouble

#10 Mr. Monk Is Cleaned Out

#11 Mr. Monk On The Road

#12 Mr. Monk On The Couch

They are all on my reading list and I can’t wait to find more time to read them all.

You clearly like the books where Monk travels…
The one you should read first is MR. MONK IS MISERABLE, which picks right where MR. MONK GOES TO GERMANY leaves off.
