Vanilla Cupcakes With Marshmallow Frosting
By Bibi on Wednesday, February 22nd, 2012 | 15 Comments

I won’t lie to you….last two weeks were rough….mentally….emotionally and to tell the truth….physically as well.
Ever since the accident (my 9 year old boy getting hit by an SUV going 80km/hr being driven by driver who failed to stop for a school bus in full stop with flashing lights and stop sign pulled out) I was not able to concentrate on anything….hence the luck of writing….
….the only thing after bringing Sam home from the hospital that kept me sane and somewhat calm was….BAKING….
While in hospital Sam received tons of get well cards and little presents from the children, teachers and staff of his wonderful school…..I was so touched and impressed….to see the smile on Sam’s face when his beloved teacher entered his hospital room…..and the grin when he was reading every single card was PRICELESS.
Then and there I decided I needed to do something….to show our appreciation….to show how much their unselfish and caring gestures touched us. Read the rest of this entry »
Learn To Run 10K – 13 Week Training
By Bibi on Tuesday, February 21st, 2012 | 12 Comments
If you are a regular reader or a friend of Daily Organized Chaos then you know about my family participating in Learn To Run 10K – 13-week training that is organized by my son Sam’s school as a part of Get Fit With Your Kids movement.
My original plan was to share with you our weekly progress and training plan….we successfully finished week 2 and on a first day of week 3 my 9 year old son Sam was hit by a car driving 80km/hr while he was getting ready to cross the highway to board his school bus.
Driver of the SUV was not paying attention and failed to stop for a school bus that was in complete STOP with lights flashing and stop sign pulled out.
Miracle happened that morning and I believe my little boy had his guardian angel watching over him……4 days later Sam walked out of the hospital without broken bones or surgery…..
Sam will no longer be able to train and complete 10K Run in May and he won’t be able to do any physical activities for another few weeks…..however as a part of our family emotional healing and moving forward we decided to Walk 10K. Read the rest of this entry »

For those of you who missed Week 1……Learn To Run 10K is 13-week training that is organized by my son Sam’s school and my children and I are taking part in it.
You can read about the details from my previous post Get Fit With Your Kids – Week 1.
I have to admit the Session 1 of week 2 was little harder for me….maybe it was the lack of sleep or because I was coming down with a cold. Read the rest of this entry »
