Shamrock Wreath Craft Tutorial

 Shamrock Wreath Craft
With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner and with last name like Bailey I decided that it was time for some DIY decorations to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

I was thinking that our front door could use little sprucing up with a new wreath. A SHAMROCK WREATH to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day would be just the thing to bring some of the Luck Of The Irish our way.

Since I am all about money saving and decorating on a budget I decided to make my own wreath. It turned out to be very easy craft that anybody can do.

In order to make my Shamrock wreath I needed a quick stop at our local Dollar Store – my headquarters for DIY decorations.

I was looking for a foam wreath, but I was out of luck. I remembered that I had an old Christmas wreath at home I was planning on throwing out.

I picked all of the other supplies I needed to make a wreath well within my small budget.

The Shamrock Wreath was finished within an hour and I was very impressed how great it looked.

It turned out to be one of my favorite DIY decorations and I couldn’t wait to share with you Shamrock Wreath tutorial.

To make your own Shamrock wreath you’ll need:

  • 1 Foam Wreath (or an old wreath)
  • 1 Green Crepe Streamer
  • 1 Shamrock Garland
  • 10-15 Shiny Pennies (or chocolate gold coins)
  • Glue Gun

Wrap the crepe streamer around the WREATH. Make sure you cover it completely.

Wrap the Shamrock garland around the wreath few times till the wreath is completely covered with shamrock.

You might have to use glue gun to attach few hanging Shamrocks onto the wreath to fill the empty spots.

Using glue gun attach pennies all over the Shamrock wreath.

Make a ribbon using the crepe streamer or green and gold ribbon if you have any. Attach it to the top of the wreath using glue gun.

  7. Thank you for sharing this tutorial on how to make it, i’ve always wanted to have a unique wreath hanging on my door, not just those types you’ll find in a super market and practically you have the same type with a lot of your neighbors and friends.
