Top 10 Las Vegas Family Attractions

Lately it seems like Las Vegas is trying to get away from being the family vacation destination that they wanted to become few years ago.

Las Vegas with children idea is disappearing slowly. Many hotels are removing the attractions and amenities that were geared towards the family crowd, but there is still lot of family attractions and amenities left for enjoying Las Vegas with your family.
Due to the economy slowdown now is the perfect time to visit and experience Las Vegas with your family. The deals are absolutely unbeatable. You can get first class hotel with first class service for a very little money. I just received an email from The Mirage offering their rooms for $59.00 per night. That is the lowest I have seen in 10 years.
As I already mentioned, lots of family attractions have been removed, but there are still plenty of Las Vegas family and kids attractions left.
I want to share with you my Family Top 10 Las Vegas Affordable Attractions:
#1 SIEGFRIED & ROY’S SECRET GARDEN and DOLPHIN HABITAT at the Mirage
The perfect place to bring your family to truly enjoy an afternoon. You can spend hours watching dolphins playing and swimming around.
If you want to make it an experience to remember you can be a trainer for a day. It costs about $500 dollars, but the experience will last you a lifetime. When you’re done enjoying the dolphins make your way to the Secret Garden and learn about white tigers, white lions, leopards and panthers.
#2 GAMEWORKS beside the MGM Grand
You’ll feel like a kid again in this multi-million dollar arcade. This is the perfect way to enjoy Vegas with kids. The state of the art games for ages 4 and up. GameWorks offers specials everyday. Right now you can play All Day and All Night for only $35.00.
Hungry ? Visit their restaurant with a large menu selection and reasonable prices.
#3 SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS 4D RIDE & FUN DUNGEON at the Excalibur
Fantasy Fair inside the Excalibur is an enchanted place where you can try your luck and win prizes at the old-fashion Midway games or old time favorite arcade games. Join SpongeBob on an adventure down to the Bikini Bottom for a ride of your life.
#4 MADAME TUSSAUDS WAX MUSEUM at the Venetian
If your family is anything like mine you will have a hoot and a half playing around with the rich and famous.
Have a friendly chat with Simon and Ryan on the set of an American Idol , visit with the Pretty Woman, rock the house with Mick Jagger or marry George Clooney like I did. That’s right, just call me Mrs.Wax-Clooney.
Let your imagination run wild. Guaranteed hours of fun.
#5 LIED DISCOVERY CHILDREN MUSEUM
Las Vegas and kids got even better. The Children museum is a great place for the whole family away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip. Lots of interactive and hands-on exhibits from toddlers to adults. There are always new and changing exhibits. Your kids will love the interactive exhibits. Explore art, science, music and more through play and games.
#6 The ADVENTUREDOME at the Circus Circus
Perfect place for families for a reasonable price. You can get All Day Pass for only $26.95.
The Adventuredome has something for every age. From rides for little children ( Carousel, Frog Hopper, Road Runner) to ultra thrill rides for bigger kids and adults (Canyon Blaster, Slingshot,Chaos). Try your skills at the midway, play a round of miniature golf, climb the wall or enjoy the 4D rides.
#7 SHARK REEF at the Mandalay Bay
Get transferred to an underwater adventure inside a sunken ship full of dangerous predators , colorful exotic fish, sea turtles and other underwater creatures. The kids will love to interact and touch Stingrays and other underwater creatures in the Touch pool under the watchful eyes of an expert. The Shark Reef is a home to more then 2,000 animals.
#8 LAS VEGAS CYBER SPEEDWAY at the Sahara
If you ever wondered how it feels to be a Nascar driver you can get pretty close with simulators at the Cyber Speedway. You can pick between automatic or stick shift while reaching speed of 220mph. Challenge your family or friends to race against you. After you challenged everyone walk over the Nascar gift shop and browse for some great memorabilia.
#9 The AUTO COLLECTIONS at the Imperial Palace
Another great Las Vegas kids and family attraction hides in a parking garage of the Imperial Palace. Spend the afternoon admiring the largest classic car showroom in the world. This unbelievable collection has more then 250 cars. From antique cars to Woodys, muscle cars and even Formula 1 car. You’ll need couple hours to get through all the exhibits.
#10 The EIFFEL TOWER at Paris Las Vegas
Take your family for an elevator ride up the top of the Eiffel Tower (half scale reproduction of the real thing). You will find yourself 460 feet above the Las Vegas strip. The view is breathtaking at anytime. I prefer the night view of all the lights and glory that is Las Vegas.

It’s nice to see some positive news about lower rates in Las Vegas. I know quite a few people who visited within recent memory and returned shell-shocked at the prices.
What nice photos.

The problem with it being a “family vacation” is it assumes no one gets up before 10 AM.

Thank you, Eileen. I am not a gambler or drinker, but I love Las Vegas for so many other things it has to offer.
